Who operates Bright AI
Bright AI is operated and published by OpenMira. This policy applies to the Bright AI website, web app, and Android app. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to contact@openmira.cc.
Information we process
Depending on the features used, Bright AI may process:
- Optional account details such as phone number, Google account identifier, nickname, and avatar.
- Learning profile details such as role, grade, subjects, and curriculum version.
- Question text, chat prompts, homework photos, test-paper photos, and images selected for analysis.
- Assessment answers, grading results, saved mistakes, review history, mastery status, and learning progress.
- Authentication, security, and technical diagnostic information needed to protect and maintain the service.
Primary-school learning profiles are created and managed by a parent, guardian, teacher, or authorized school and do not require a child's phone number, email address, or full legal name.
Homework and test-paper images may contain handwriting. Bright AI does not use those images for face recognition or biometric identification. Users should crop out faces, names, student numbers, school identifiers, and unrelated background content before uploading.
How information is used
- Provide account access and synchronize learning records.
- Recognize questions, check homework, clean test papers, and answer questions.
- Generate step-by-step explanations and personalized learning suggestions.
- Organize mistakes, reviews, mastery, and practice progress.
- Provide support, maintain security, and troubleshoot failures.
OpenMira does not sell personal information. Bright AI does not use student learning data or uploaded homework images for behavioral advertising.
Service providers
Selected information may be processed on OpenMira's behalf by Supabase for authentication and synchronized records, Doubao/Volcengine for image recognition and grading, DeepSeek for text tutoring and learning content, Google Sign-In for optional authentication, and infrastructure providers used to operate the service.
Images and prompts submitted for AI processing may be processed outside the user's country or region, subject to applicable law and provider infrastructure.
Storage, security, and retention
Bright AI uses HTTPS in transit and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
- Images and prompts submitted for a one-time AI result are processed for that request and may remain in limited provider or security logs only as needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.
- Homework, mistakes, chat history, and learning records intentionally saved to an account remain until the user deletes the record or account.
- Authentication and security logs are retained only for the period reasonably required to protect the service and meet legal obligations.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Users should avoid uploading unnecessary personal, confidential, or sensitive information.
User choices and deletion
Users can remove saved learning records, clear local guest data, and request account deletion in the app or through the public account deletion page.
Deletion removes account details, synchronized learning data, saved images, AI history, and associated records, except narrowly limited information retained for legal or security obligations.
Students, children, and school use
Bright AI is intended for users aged 13 and over and for parents, guardians, teachers, and schools. A parent, guardian, teacher, or authorized school must create and manage a primary-school profile and provide any consent required by local law.
Teachers and schools must have authority to submit student work and must avoid uploading information that is unnecessary for the requested educational task. Bright AI does not knowingly ask a child to provide direct contact details.
AI-generated content
AI recognition, grading, and explanations may be incomplete or inaccurate. Important answers should be verified. Unsuitable results can be reported in the app or to contact@openmira.cc.
Contact and changes
OpenMira may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on the website.
