Account and Data Deletion

Request deletion of your Bright AI account and the learning data associated with it.

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Start a deletion request

Use either available path:

  • In the app, open your profile, choose Account and Data Deletion, review the effects, and confirm deletion. Phone and Google users verify their account again. Apple users verify the same Apple account and the app revokes its Sign in with Apple authorization.
  • Email contact@openmira.cc with the subject “Bright AI account deletion”.

Account deletion is available for signed-in accounts. Guest data that has not been synchronized remains on the device and can be removed by clearing the app’s local data.

Verification

To protect the account owner, OpenMira may verify the signed-in account or ask the requester to confirm the phone number, Google account identifier, or Apple sign-in association associated with the account. Never send passwords, verification codes, API keys, or identity documents by email.

Data included

After verification, deletion includes:

  • Account profile and authentication association.
  • Grade, subjects, curriculum version, and managed learning profiles.
  • Synchronized assessments, answers, grading results, mistakes, review history, and progress.
  • Saved homework, question, and test-paper images.
  • Saved AI conversations and generated learning records associated with the account.

Limited retention

Classrooms created by a deleted teacher are archived. Shared published classroom work and other students’ submissions are retained with the teacher identity association removed; private drafts and the deleted user’s own submissions are removed. Temporary computation caches expire within 24 hours. Minimal revocation metadata prevents old sessions or cached records from recreating deleted data.

Information required for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance may be retained only for the applicable period and then deleted or de-identified.

The app shows completion after account records, uploaded files, and the authentication association have been removed. Interrupted cleanup is retried automatically; reopening the app lets you check or continue the request.
