Data received for classroom work
Depending on the feature a teacher chooses, Bright AI may receive class settings, membership records, assignment content, student responses, homework images, grading results, teacher feedback, and learning signals. Teachers should remove names, student numbers, faces, and unrelated details before uploading work.
Educational purpose
Classroom data is processed to provide the educational service requested by the teacher or school—for example, recognizing a response, preparing draft feedback, creating an assignment, tracking completion, or showing class-level learning signals. OpenMira does not sell personal information.
AI and infrastructure providers
Information required to complete a selected task may be processed on OpenMira's behalf by Supabase for authentication and synchronized records, Doubao/Volcengine for image recognition and grading, DeepSeek for text tutoring and learning content, Google Sign-In for optional authentication, and infrastructure providers used to operate the service. Data may be processed outside the user's country or region, subject to applicable law and provider infrastructure.
Teacher review remains required
AI recognition, scores, explanations, and feedback are drafts. Teacher review is required before a result is used for grading, instruction, or communication with a student or family. Bright AI does not replace the teacher's professional judgment.
Retention
Class membership, assignments, submissions, reviews, and learning records intentionally saved to an account remain available until the authorized user deletes the record or account. Inputs used for a one-time AI request may remain in limited provider or security logs only as needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.
Deletion and school requests
Authorized users can delete supported records in the product and can request account and data deletion through the account deletion page or by contacting OpenMira. Deletion removes associated data except narrowly limited information retained for legal or security obligations.
Analytics exclusions
Bright AI uses limited, pseudonymous measurement to understand reliability and aggregate product use. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, homework images, question text, chat content, class names, student answers, invitation tokens, and raw classroom identifiers are not sent to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.
School and family contexts stay separate
Student classroom work and school learning records are not used to target a family subscription. A teacher's classroom activity does not enroll a family in a paid plan, and family membership marketing is not part of the classroom grading workflow.
